managing broker - schererville

Joe currently serves as Managing Broker of our Schererville, Indiana location. He manages a team of just over 40 associates. He has been in Real Estate for over 14 years, and has served as broker for over 11 years. Joe Deakin joined Prime Real Estate in 2008 and quickly rose through the ranks and assumed the title of Managing Broker. As the Managing Broker, Joe works with agents to set and meet both sales and career goals, coordinate training opportunities, mentorship of first year agents, as well as provide general guidance and support.

Prior to working in real estate, Joe has over 35 years in engineering and construction management dealing with people, contract documents, finances, schedules and estimates. He holds two degrees from Purdue University; an Associates in Applied Science and a Bachelors of Science in Engineering.

Joe has been married for 50 delightful years and has 5 wonderful children and 6 grandchildren. He is a lifelong resident of the area except for the three and a half years he spent in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Sergeant. He is an active member of the community and enjoys giving back. Some of the Associations in which he is involved in include: Purdue Club of Lake County, Purdue Alumni Association, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and his Parish.
